NMSU Board of Regents to attend presidential candidate events

Potential quorums of the New Mexico State University Board of Regents may occur as regents attend events with candidates vying to become NMSU’s next president. These events, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner gatherings, are scheduled between Sunday, Sept. 8, and Friday, Sept. 13. Additionally, the regents may attend the 2024 NMSU Gratitude Walk/Run on Saturday, Sept. 14, on the Las Cruces campus.


NMSU Art Museum opens three new exhibitions in September

The University Art Museum at New Mexico State University will host three new exhibitions starting Friday, Sept. 27. The opening receptions for "Carolyn Salas: Night Vision," "Carlos Rosales-Silva: Border Destroyer," and "Warhol & Friends" are scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the same day at the UAM, located at 1308 E University Ave.

Senators respond to Governor's new anti-crime initiative

Today, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham announced “Operation Disruption,” an initiative to combat organized crime, drug smuggling, and human trafficking. This operation involves collaboration with New Mexico’s Department of Public Safety, New Mexico State Police, and various local, federal, and international agencies. Santa Fe offers free green and residential waste disposal this fall

Santa Fe, NM - On March 12, 2024, the Santa Fe County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved Resolution No. 2024-035, authorizing the free disposal of green waste for county residents with a valid solid waste permit at the Stanley, Jacona, and Eldorado Convenience Centers on Friday, September 6 (8:00 am-5:00 pm) and Saturday, September 7 (8:00 am-5:00 pm), 2024.

In 2015, Brieanna Wells began her career with the NMSU College of Arts and Sciences as a graduate assistant. Currently, she is a program manager for the Office of Engineering Research.
