Bernalillo County seeks business input for economic development program

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

Bernalillo County is reaching out to businesses for input on its economic development program. The county emphasizes the importance of public and private partnerships in creating jobs and expanding businesses in the region.

There are three ways for businesses to participate: an online survey, focus groups, or community meetings. The 15-minute Bernalillo County Economic Development Stakeholder Survey is available in Vietnamese, English, and Spanish. The deadline for this survey is Friday, July 25.

Focus group sessions will be held from July 22 through July 24 in two-hour blocks. These sessions target small and large businesses, young professionals, and community leaders representing residents. On-site translation services will be provided if needed.

Additionally, the "Dynamic Conversations on Economic Development" series of in-person meetings will take place at various locations:

- Tuesday, July 29, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Taylor Ranch Branch Library.

- Saturday, Aug. 9, from 9-10:30 a.m. at Vista Grande Community Center.

- Thursday, Aug. 14, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Hiland Theater.

These meetings will include light food and activities for children as well as translation services.

The county encourages participation to help make the community a great place to work and live.
