NMSU engineering videos win four Telly Awards in international competition

When Vladimir Avina joined the New Mexico State University College of Engineering as a student intern in 2019, he was given responsibility for a nearly non-existent online media program. Now, a senior media specialist, Avina’s work has been awarded four Telly Awards, a global competition honoring “the best work in the video medium in an exciting new era of the moving image on and offline.”


UNM student competes as 'nerdy ninja' on American Ninja Warrior

Ixchel Valentino, a second-year nuclear engineering student at The University of New Mexico, is competing on season 16 of NBC’s American Ninja Warrior. While she cannot disclose her progress in the competition, her next appearance is scheduled to air on Monday, August 12 on NBC and the following day on Peacock.

CULLS announces six faculty promotions

The College of University Libraries and Learning Sciences (CULLS) has announced the promotion and tenure of six faculty members this year. Alyssa Russo, Stephanie Moore, and Amir Hedayati have received tenure and were promoted to associate professor, while Vanessa Svihla, Lori Townsend, and Audra Bellmore have been promoted to full professor.
