Santa Fe County, New Mexico, has announced the opening of Nicholas Sanchez Park, a newly transformed open space that is the result of a committed partnership between the county, residents of the Carlson Subdivision, and the New Mexico State Legislature. The park is located at 14 Emily Road and spans one-third of an acre. It was originally donated by Conrad and Emily Carlson.

The city is marking the successful completion of Phase 1 expansion at the Manzano Mesa Pickleball Complex. The project involved resurfacing all 18 existing courts and adding 15 new ones, including a Championship Court. It also included the installation of lights, shade, and much-needed restrooms. However, due to supply issues, work on the restrooms is still ongoing but is expected to be completed soon.
