On Tuesday, the Deb Haaland for New Mexico campaign organized a virtual event titled "Launch Tour Encore," which was attended by nearly 400 volunteers. The campaign has amassed nearly 8,000 volunteers in total, highlighting its grassroots momentum.
During the call, Deb Haaland expressed her gratitude to the volunteers, stating: “I got my start volunteering for candidates that I believe in. Your time is valuable and I’m so grateful to each of you for being on this first volunteer call to action. It means that our campaign is people-driven. It means that our campaign is grassroots-driven. And it means that we will have the power to win – because of each and every one of you.”
The campaign's infrastructure appears robust, with recent reports indicating over $2 million raised from more than 30,000 donors, with an average online contribution below $43.
This virtual event follows Haaland’s 19-stop launch tour across New Mexico, which attracted nearly 4,000 attendees. Notably, rooms were filled even in counties where Donald Trump had received majority support.
Haaland's campaign has garnered endorsements from several prominent figures including Senator Ben Ray Luján and Representatives Teresa Leger Fernandez, Melanie Stansbury, Gabe Vasquez as well as over 80 local leaders and organizations.
