Senate Candidate Domenici: 'Open border' is 'furthering the drug, crime, and humanitarian crises' in the US

Nella Domenici, U.S. Senate Candidate in New Mexico, said she traveled to the "open border," which she described as a "gateway" for illegal immigration, drug smuggling, and humanitarian crises. Domenici gave her statement to the New Mexico Sun on July 31.


Healthcare providers pledge over $2.6 million toward nursing and medical education

In a significant boost to the future of healthcare in New Mexico, BlueCross BlueShield of New Mexico (BCBS NM), Presbyterian Health Plan, and Western Sky Community Care have collectively pledged substantial financial support to The University of New Mexico’s Health Sciences Center. These contributions, totaling over $2.6 million, are set to transform the landscape of nursing and medical education by providing essential scholarships and endowments aimed at addressing the critical shortage of healthcare professionals in the state.


Routine maintenance scheduled for Eagle Rock Convenience Center

Eagle Rock Convenience Center will undergo routine maintenance from Tuesday, August 6th through Friday, August 9th. The City has advised residents to anticipate delays in the disposal process during this period. On Wednesday, August 7th, trailers will not be permitted at the facility due to specific repairs.


City updates on North Domingo Baca Park construction progress

The City has provided an update on the ongoing construction at North Domingo Baca Park. This week, crews mobilized to begin the next stage of construction for the Aquatic Center, and the tennis courts are being resurfaced.


Recycling collection delay announced for northwest Albuquerque

Recycling collection will be delayed on Friday, August 2, for residents along four routes in northwest parts of the city. Recycling bins in the affected areas will be serviced on Saturday, August 3.


Albuquerque Animal Welfare thanks PetSmart Charities for partnership grant
