The announcement was made by Albuquerque Public Schools on September 15, 2023. These students were selected based on their exceptional scores in the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

The New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority has recently announced that it will be allocating more than $2.2 million towards the expansion of the HOME Rehabilitation Program. This funding comes from a grant obtained through the federal HOME Investment Partnership Program, and will be used to revitalize residences occupied by eligible low-income homeowners across 25 counties and three Tribal Territories in the state.

Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) has recently announced the introduction of an accelerated 18-week program through its Fire Academy. This program aims to address the increasing demand for emergency responders in the area. Students who enroll in this program will gain certifications in entry-level firefighting and EMT-Basic, as well as receive comprehensive training to prepare for certification exams from respected organizations. However, it is important to note that students need full-time sponsorship from a fire department to be eligible for enrollment.

The New Mexico Museum of Art has announced its upcoming exhibition titled "To Make, Unmake, and Make Again," featuring the work of artist Rick Dillingham.
