An associate professor at UNM is honored with an NSF award for advancements in disaster response systems

The University of New Mexico (UNM) has announced that Eirini Eleni Tsiropoulou, an associate professor in the UNM Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has been awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The grant will support Tsiropoulou's project, SOTERIA: Satisfaction and Risk-aware Dynamic Resource Orchestration in Public Safety Systems, which aims to improve public safety systems, particularly in disaster scenarios requiring coordination among victims, first responders, and emergency control centers for efficient rescue operations.
