The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) has initiated a public survey aimed at fostering community connections and enhancing safety across the city.
The survey is designed to measure community trust, understand safety needs, and determine the most effective communication platforms. It includes questions about residents' willingness and ability to participate in community meetings and alternative engagement methods if they are unable to attend.
Chief Harold Medina emphasized the importance of transparency: “I want to be honest about where we are, and how the community views our department and safety within the city. We have come a long way to improve and better our agency, but we know we have to continue building trust each day and the work is never done.”
The survey will remain open until September 6.
