Albuquerque stands out for its outdoor access and mental health support. The city ranks 16th nationally for overall mental health, supported by several factors: access to 38.9 acres of green space per 1,000 residents (11th highest in the country), an average workweek of 38 hours (ranked 26th), and ten recreational amenities per 10,000 residents (28th). Additionally, Albuquerque boasts a health insurance coverage rate of 91.7% (43rd) and an air quality score of 70.
Commute times in Albuquerque are reasonable at an average of 22.2 minutes (ranked 26th). The city ranks 46th in affordability with a cost-of-living index of 94.9 (25th nationally) and a median household income that increased to $65,604 from $61,503 in the previous year.
Remote work adoption has also improved slightly to 12.8% from last year's figure of 11%, indicating gradual progress in workplace flexibility.
