The Senate Committees' Committee has announced its recommendations for leadership and membership changes in the Senate Standing Committees for the 2025 Legislative Session. These changes include appointments to various key committees.

For the Committees’ Committee, Mimi Stewart (D) will serve as Chair with Peter Wirth (D) as Vice Chair. Other members include Craig W. Brandt (R), Pete Campos (D), Joseph Cervantes (D), Katy M. Duhigg (D), George Muñoz (D), Michael Padilla (D), William Sharer (R), Elizabeth “Liz” Stefanics (D), and Pat Woods (R).

In the Conservation Committee, Liz Stefanics (D) is appointed as Chair and Antoinette Sedillo Lopez (D) as Vice Chair. The committee also includes Candy Ezzell (R) as Ranking Member, along with Joseph Cervantes (D), Angel Charley (D), Carrie Hamblen (D), Harold Pope Jr. (D), Larry Scott (R), and James Townsend (R).

The Education Committee will be led by William Soules (D) as Chair and Harold Pope Jr. (D) as Vice Chair. Members are Gabriel Ramos (R) as Ranking Member, Patrick Boone (R), Candy Ezzell (R), Natalie Figueroa (D), Martin Hickey(D), Cindy Nava(D), and Ant Thornton(R).

George Muñoz(D) takes the role of Chair in the Finance Committee with Benny Shendo(D) as Vice Chair. The committee's members include Craig W. Brandt(R) - Ranking Member, Pete Campos(D), Roberto “Bobby” J. Gonzales(D), Steve Lanier(R), Michael Padilla(D), Jeff Steinborn(D ), Nicole Tobiassen(R ), Linda Trujillo(D ), and Pat Woods(R ).

Linda M. Lopez(D ) will chair the Health & Public Affairs Committee, assisted by Martin Hickey( D )as Vice Chair. Larry Scott( R )will serve as Ranking Member along with Jay Block( R ), Patrick Boone( R ), Angel Charley( D ), David Gallegos( R ), Cindy Nava( D ), Shannon Pinto( D ),and Antoinette Sedillo Lopez( D ).

Shannon Pinto(D )is named Chair of Indian,Rural & Cultural Affairs with William Soules servingasViceChair.WilliamShareristheRankingMemberalongwithAntonioMaestasandJoshuaA.Sanchez.
