Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller has announced a new series of community meetings, titled "Constructive Conversations," aimed at addressing housing and homelessness in the city. These meetings are designed to encourage dialogue between residents and city officials as they work together to shape Albuquerque's future.

The upcoming meetings will focus on providing updates about the Metro Homelessness Initiative (MHI) and discussing efforts to expand housing options and support systems for individuals transitioning from homelessness to stable living. Topics include the Gateway Centers, the Albuquerque Community Safety department, the Housing, Health and Homelessness department, redevelopment projects, affordable housing initiatives, and conversion projects.

Mayor Keller emphasized that each meeting will cover identical content, allowing residents to attend just one session. The city is also requesting donations of winter clothing such as hats, gloves, coats, blankets, and scarves during these events to assist those in need.

The meetings are free and open to all members of the public; however, RSVPs are required. Interested residents can reserve their seats through the Connect ABQ Events webpage.

Scheduled sessions are set for December 7th at the Albuquerque Convention Center from 1-3 p.m., December 11th at Bear Canyon Senior Center from 6-8 p.m., and December 12th at Westgate Community Center from 6-8 p.m.
