Bernalillo County commissioners approve industrial revenue bonds request for Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North

On September 27, 2023, Bernalillo County commissioners approved an industrial revenue bonds (IRBs) request of up to $39.5 million for Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North. This financial support will aid Legacy Development & Management (LDM-MP, LLC) in acquiring as well as renovating the hotel according to a press release. Bernalillo County announced, "The IRBs were approved in a unanimous vote."

New Mexico provided more than $30 million in food aid to school-aged children

On September 27, 2023, the New Mexico Human Services Department announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture had allocated over $30 million in extra food assistance to feed more than 252,000 children during the off-school summer months.
