Baldwin and gun handler should both face criminal charges

It was no doubt a tragedy when, on a New Mexico movie set, Alec Baldwin aimed a gun at two crew members and fired, killing one and injuring the other. In the last few days, pundits and reporters have rushed to conclude Baldwin isn’t criminally liable or to falsely call the real gun a “prop” gun. Op-ed: The unscientific science?

That headline, itself, is enough to turn many of us off.

The Democrats' long-awaited hearing on the 'insurrection' of January 6, 2021 began today, and as was expected, it was a tightly orchestrated opening to an event that was designed to reinforce one central theme.

Opinion

Can Republicans turn back the blue tide in New Mexico?

For most of the 20th century, New Mexican voters have put their X on the Democrat side of the ballot for Governor. And what have they got in return for placing their confidence and their vote in the party of the donkey?

There’s some great news concerning the oil and gas industry in the state and nation right now.

Op-ed: Controlling words

Seems to me that there is more than just a little truth in the belief that those who control the words control the narrative, and those who control the narrative control the argument. Add government as the group that controls the argument and you are left with the absolute absence of free discourse.
