The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team is set to host Angelo State University during the university's homecoming week. The Greyhounds are seeking their first win of the season, entering the match with a 0-12 overall record and a 0-9 record in Lone Star Conference play.
Louise Godden leads Eastern New Mexico's offense this season, scoring two goals and accumulating a team-high four points. Godden, a senior from England, has taken 14 shots with five on target, resulting in a .357 shot-on-goal percentage. Samantha Wood contributed a goal in the team's recent 2-4 loss against Sul Ross State on October 15 in Alpine.
In goal, Rosie Willmott Joyce has started nine matches, playing 648 minutes and making 54 saves with a .600 save percentage. Kiley Patalan has played in three matches, recording 159 minutes and six saves.
Throughout the season, Eastern New Mexico has faced strong competition and has been out-shot by opponents 270-68. The team has managed 34 shots on goal, while opponents have tallied 137. The Greyhounds have earned 23 corner kicks compared to their opponents' 83.
The team has played five home games and seven away games this season. Angelo State comes into the match with a 6-3-4 overall record and a 5-2-2 conference record, led by Sanai Stewart who has scored six goals and collected 13 points.
After facing Angelo State, the Greyhounds will travel to San Antonio, Texas, for a conference game against St. Mary's on Saturday, October 25, scheduled for noon MST.
