The New Mexico Economic Development Department's Office of Strategy, Science & Technology has announced the selection of five contractors to provide specialized business assistance to startups in the state's science and technology sectors. The initiative aims to bolster resources for growing businesses and enhancing the state's science and tech ecosystem.
The contractors were chosen through a Request for Proposals process, which sought companies capable of offering tailored business support alongside the Office of Strategy, Science & Technology (OSST). The focus is on advanced computing, advanced energy, aerospace, bioscience, and water technologies. Sixteen proposals were submitted for consideration.
The selected contractors are:
- Advanced Computing: Hoonify Technologies
- Advanced Energy: Arrowhead Center at NUSU
- Aerospace: New Mexico Trade Alliance
- Bioscience: The BioScience Center
- Water Technologies: OneTen Capital
These contractors will offer sector-specific assistance in areas such as business development, identifying financial sources like credit and grants, developing investor presentations and business plans, networking with stakeholders, and keeping abreast of sector developments.
