Michelle Kavanaugh was officially sworn in as the new Bernalillo County Clerk on January 1. Kavanaugh, who was elected to the position in November, brings significant experience to her new role, having served as deputy county clerk for four years.

During her time as deputy, she managed key functions of the office and led initiatives aimed at enhancing government accessibility, improving voting convenience, and ensuring every voice is heard. Kavanaugh is committed to providing experienced leadership with a focus on the challenges facing democracy.
