Meanwhile, Democratic Senator Martin Heinrich and Representative Gabe Vasquez are said to be aligning with Vice President Kamala Harris's progressive policies. Critics argue that these policies could lead to higher costs, the elimination of private health insurance, and a lack of border control.

Steve Pearce, Chairman of the Republican Party of New Mexico, stated, "Martin Heinrich’s voting record speaks for itself—he has voted with Biden and Harris’s far-left policies almost 99% of the time." He added that in 2023 and 2024, Heinrich supported the administration's agenda entirely. Pearce claimed this shows Heinrich is not representing New Mexico but rather following Kamala Harris and other progressives in Washington.

Gabe Vasquez is also noted for supporting similar positions on issues like immigration, healthcare, and energy. These positions align closely with those advocated by Kamala Harris. According to Pearce, this alignment suggests an agenda disconnected from the values held by many families in New Mexico.

Pearce further commented on the situation: "It’s time to fire Harris, Heinrich, and Vasquez along with all the Democrats who have jeopardized the safety, security, and prosperity of New Mexico families in order to cater to the radical far-left." He emphasized the importance of electing Republicans who prioritize local values over those from Washington.
