The annual fall gathering took place on October 16 at the First Unitarian Church in Albuquerque. The event's theme was "Persevering in Beauty and Joy!" It featured a series of awards, musical performances, and special recognitions.
The Seed Awards were given to the M.T.O. Shamagh School of Islamic Sufism, Community of Joy Lutheran Church, First Congregational United Church of Christ, and Upaya Zen Center. Dr. Ladona D. Clayton received the Sprout Award for her work with the Oglalla Land and Water Conservancy.
Musical performances included original pieces by cellist Keely Mackey and artist Elizabeth Margit-Anne during a time dedicated to prayer and centering.
A notable moment was when Sister Joan Brown received special recognition from the board of directors of IPL New Mexico & El Paso for her years as executive director. Sister Joan is transitioning out of this role to concentrate more on initiatives in the Permian Basin of New Mexico.
