If the seniors couldn’t come to the animals, the animals came to the seniors. That was the essence of a fall celebration that took place recently at the Watermark Cherry Hills Senior Living Community.
Original plans for an outside festival called “It’s a Zoo Out There” had to be changed due to bad weather. Instead of going outside to visit the animals, a few farm animals were brought inside to visit with the seniors.
“I think it’s pretty important that they get a chance to do something different now and again,” Mario Romero told KRQE. “It was a good little something to unify everybody, let everybody come out and have a good time.”
Edgewood's Milligan’s Ranch supplied the animals, which included baby goats, a pig, ducks, and cows. Food and drink were also served.
