Eva Blazejewski and Adrianna Lucero are the co-organizers of Women Gathering to Support Each Other's Businesses.

Dozens of women joined together to not only support each other, but to also possibly win two scholarships; a recent KRQE news release said. Those scholarships are available to help the women to promote their work. The gathering is in its second year, giving New Mexican female business owners the chance to show off their businesses to consumers.

“We always want to help [the] community, especially women and women who start their own businesses," Blazejewski told KRQE.

She also encouraged consumers to meet the business owners personally.

“Come see them, meet them, so we decided to do a businesses-owned market," she said.

Blazejewski went into more detail about the scholarships.

“To put towards their business marketing, supplies, anything they want to do with their business," she told KRQE. "At the end, we will choose the best vlog and it will just be explaining why they started their own business, what it is, what they are going to use the money for."

Blazejewski also explained that other money was awarded at the event.

“New Mexico Biker Lawyer is going to donate another $300 to the popular vote, so whoever gets the most votes from the public as to the best vendor will win," she said. “It was a struggle for us to get started, so I know what it’s like for women to start their own businesses and all the difficulties they go through. We just think there’s a space for women to improve and have their own businesses and succeed."
