Las Cruces, N.M. – Nusenda Credit Union recently provided $20,000 to the Las Cruces Public Schools Foundation to support creative initiatives that will make a positive difference in the local educational community.

“On behalf of the LCPS Foundation, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Nusenda Credit Union for their generous $20,000 donation,” said Amy McCarty, Executive Director of the LCPS Foundation. “Nusenda’s support will empower our Dress for Success Program, Innovative Teaching Grant Program, and more. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our community and its future.”
The Las Cruces Public Schools Foundation’s purpose is to enhance the educational experiences of students, promote innovation in the classroom, and recognize excellence in teaching. From mini grants to scholarships, the Foundation works closely with community supporters and donors to provide opportunities to students and faculty.
Las Cruces Public Schools Superintendent Ignacio Ruiz stated "We are immensely grateful for the support of Nusenda Credit Union. Their collaboration is vital in recognizing the hard work and dedication of our staff, and it significantly enhances our school programs. This partnership not only provides needed resources but also helps foster a sense of community and shared commitment to the success of our students and educators."
Nusenda’s roots are in education and has a longstanding commitment to help teachers and students succeed. The Credit Union supports LCPS year-round by partnering with them as a Select Employer Group.
