The annual Taste of Nob Hill event occurred in Albuquerque last weekend after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event attracted more than 500 people to sample food and drinks at nine restaurants and two breweries.

“Nob Hill is here,” Chris Smith, board member of Nob Hill Main Street, told KOB 4. “There are a lot of things still happening, new businesses coming into the neighborhood. You have the old reliables like Flying Star, but you have new places like Gather come to the neighborhood. It’s really great to see the community come out and support the local businesses.”

Soo Bak Seoul Bowl is a restaurant “where Korean flavors meet New Mexican heat” according to KOB 4; it is a popular spot.

Restaurant owner John Katrinak wanted to be a part of Taste of Nob Hill.

“I have always passed it,” Katrinak, a former Nob Hill resident, told KOB 4. “It always looked like it was a fun time.”

Alana Riddle-Lantz, a new resident, used the event to acquaint herself with her new community.

“We just moved to Albuquerque earlier this year and I love the Nob Hill area,” she told KOB 4. “I am a big fan of food and beer, especially the brewery scene in Albuquerque. So, I was just excited to come out and try all the local flavors.”
