On Monday, two suspects were named in a double homicide that took place on April 16.
Roswell police are looking for 15-year-old Jayvin Montoya to serve him an arrest warrant for two counts of murder as well as one count of armed robbery, one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and one count of unlawful possession of a handgun, a Monday KOB 4 news report said.
"We are currently in search of him to serve an arrest warrant so any information the public can give to help locate him would be much appreciated," Todd Wildermuth, public information officer with the Roswell Police Department, told KOB 4.
Carlos Gallegos, 14, is also a shooting suspect, but the charges against him are pending at this time; the news report said.
Investigators suspect Montoya and Gallegos of fatally shooting 16-year-old Jorge Armendariz and 15-year-old Cameron Luna, the news report said. They also think the two victims intended to purchase a gun from the two accused.
After the shooting took place, Montoya's mother, Jessica Lee Montoya, was accused of moving the vehicle her son used to drive to the area of the shooting.
The mother allegedly moved the vehicle multiple times and is being charged with one count of tampering with evidence, one count of conspiracy to tamper with evidence and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
