Thieves used a unique method to enter an Albuquerque dealership in order to steal eight cars, according to the owner.

Steve Henry, owner of Exodus Auto Sales, told KOB4 that the thieves got in through a hole in the roof of the dealership’s building.

“About half the cars are gone and I realize we have been hit,” Henry said.

The suspects also shut down the businesses’ internet, along with taking its surveillance equipment.

“They shut the internet down, they shut the surveillance equipment down. They definitely knew what they were doing,” Henry told the station.

He said that two of the cars have been recovered and that a McDonald’s receipt was recovered from one of the vehicles that could help police find the suspects.

The theft of over half his inventory didn’t deter Henry from producing another cooking show that he does in a studio that is set up inside the dealership, according to the news station.

According to the dealership's website, the dealership does not sell salvage vehicles and seeks to sell cars to people who might otherwise have trouble buying one due to bad credit or other struggles.
