Albuquerque Police arrest 6 'repeat offenders' in Harbor Flight shoplifting operation

The Albuquerque Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit has arrested six individuals connected to a shoplifting operation at Harbor Freight.

In a tweet Oct. 15, APD released a statement alongside photographs of the offenders.

"APD’s Organized Crime Unit, in conjunction with the Attorney General’s Office, conducted a three-day operation at a local retailer that resulted in the arrests of six repeat offenders,” the department wrote in their statement.

Offenders Georgia Close and Gilberto Flores were arrested on felony shoplifting and conspiracy to commit felony shoplifting charges. According to APD, they had joined efforts to steal a $700 generator among other tools.

Others were arrested on charges of receiving or transferring a stolen motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia and eluding the police.

The six individuals arrested, comprised of George Harney, Kenneth Hays, Larry Davis, Shawn Langley, Close and Flores, were all repeat offenders, APD reports.
