Quarter Celtic Brewpub in Albuquerque was broken into and vandalized in the early hours of  Sept. 20, Albuquerque Police said.

Twenty-two-year-old Amadeo Jaramillo is accused of breaking into the brewery on Monday by throwing a rock through a back window, police said, according to KRQE.

“It was very senseless and that’s (the) more heartbreaking aspect of it,” Allison York, the brew pub’s general manager, said. “It didn’t seem worth his time and effort, and now he’s in jail, and we had a great loss this week because of it.”

According to York, he grabbed a big side of beef, a bunch of bread and cheese and some vegetables. Police spotted Jaramillo while still in the brewery before he ran, court documents stated, and were able to catch up to him and arrest him.

Nearly $10,000 worth of damage was caused by the break-in, and the brewery was forced to close for a day to clean up.

Monday morning's incident violated Jaramillo's conditions of release in a previous larceny case, KRQE reported. He is currently still incarcerated.
