The New Mexico Restaurant Association launched a campaign recently hoping to connect more residents to jobs in the restaurants and hospitality industries.

The campaign, coined "Hungry for Success?," is aimed at finding jobs for those just entering the workforce and those who may be seeking a new beginning, as well as aiding restaurants continuing to face a high workforce shortage.

“We have great needs in the restaurant industry, we need thousands of people, pretty much every restaurant that you see has a sign outside that they’re looking for folks,” New Mexico Restaurant Association (NMRA) CEO Carol Wight told KRQE. “So you can walk into any restaurant right now and get a job.”

As unemployment benefits come to an end, the hope is to push more people into the restaurant and hospitality industries. In a report by KRQE, NMRA said now is the time to take advantage of the wide array of availabilities across the state.
