Lujan Grisham: BlueHalo's new national security and tech manufacturing plant in Albuquerque a 'partnership that New Mexicans can get excited about'

BlueHalo, which is known for its national security and technology innovations, announced that its new state-of-the-art site will be located at Albuquerque’s MaxQ location.

The new location is made of 200,000 square feet and will be a massive investment in the state’s economy, the company says. 

“High-quality and good-paying careers, a massive economic impact for our state and the metro area, a significant capital investment — this is the kind of economic expansion and partnership that New Mexicans can get excited about,” Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham said, according to the company's site. “Improved economic security and expanded opportunity for New Mexicans is what this administration will continue to promote, and BlueHalo represents an excellent investment in our ongoing efforts to diversify and accelerate our economy.”

The company’s new location in Albuquerque will bring roughly 64 new jobs, each which will hold a salary of approximately $90,000.

It is estimated that there will be $3.2 billion generated over the next 10 years through BlueHalo’s presence in the area, the company says. 

The space will house an office complex, labs, manufacturing plants, testing areas and more. The total capital investment in the site is $60 million, according to the company’s release.
