Your City at Work: Accomplishments of '20-'21

I’m proud to showcase just some of the outstanding accomplishments of last year. Despite the challenges of COVID, the City staff who work for you every day have delivered great results, working in every department and in every neighborhood.


Successful City Rapid-hiring Event

The City of Santa Fe held a rapid-hire job fair on Saturday, December 11, that is considered hugely successful: Over 140 people attended, and 29 contingent offer letters were issued. New employees will receive a $1,000 hiring incentive.


Disc Golf Coming to SWAN Park

The City of Santa Fe recently approved a new 18-hole disc golf course to be installed on the Southside of Santa Fe. The course will be called Jaguar Ridge and will be located in the Southwest Activity Node (SWAN Park) at the intersection of NM 599 and Jaguar Road.

Keith Haring Fitness Park Underway at SWAN Park

Installation has begun at SWAN Park on the Keith Haring Outdoor Fitness Court® as part of the 2021 National Fitness Campaign. The City of Santa Fe was selected as one of only 10 cities nationwide for this facility; the apparatus is expected to be operational at the end of November.



Imagine a Day Without Water

The City of Santa Fe Water Conservation Office, in partnership with Santa Fe County and Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center (Christus), will launch the annual Imagine a Day Without Water campaign, a nationwide day of education and advocacy about the value of water.


Citywide Solar Project Officially Underway

Last Friday, October 13, Mayor Alan Webber and City Councilors Carol Romero-Wirth and Signe Lindell, City Public Works Director Regina Wheeler and staff, and a representative of Yearout Energy Services Company broke ground for the City's new solar project at the MRC Sports Complex Pump Station.
