Four players from Eastern New Mexico scored in double figures during the game. Cooper Jackson led with career highs of 22 points and eight assists. Jackson emphasized his team's focus on toughness: "Our coaches emphasize toughness and that is what we want our identity to be," he said. "At the end of the day, my teammates and coaches are the reason why I play so hard and try my best for them." He also highlighted support from his teammates and coaching staff during postgame comments.
Jose Murillo recorded his fifth double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds, despite sustaining an injury early in the game that left him playing with a busted lip.
