Dylan Quartieri, a redshirt junior at Eastern New Mexico University, has been named to the 2025 Lone Star Conference (LSC) all-academic team. This marks the first time since 2023 that a Greyhound player has received this distinction. The selection was made by sports information directors from institutions within the conference.

Quartieri, who is majoring in physical education and maintains a 3.63 grade point average, expressed gratitude for the support he has received throughout his academic and athletic career. "It feels good," said Quartieri about earning the honor. "It is not done without the backbone from a good coaching staff and family who supports me through everything."

He has previously earned Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition six times during his tenure with Eastern New Mexico University. Quartieri is also a member of the President's Leadership Academy, which is led by associate athletic director Sia Poyer.

Sia Poyer commented on Quartieri’s achievement: "Dylan (Quartieri) is a natural leader. I am not surprised that he earned this recognition."

On the field, Quartieri recorded 55 tackles in 2025, including 11 tackles for loss. His season included standout performances such as a season-high 13 tackles against Texas A&M-Kingsville and 3.5 tackles for loss in a win over Western New Mexico. He also contributed one quarterback hurry and broke up one pass.

During the final game of the season against Texas A&M-Kingsville, Quartieri surpassed 100 career tackles and now holds totals of 110 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and four sacks while playing for Eastern New Mexico University.

Other members named to the LSC all-academic team include Hunter Wallis (Angelo State), Brett McCalla and Kennedy McGill (Central Washington), Noah Bustard (Midwestern State), Evian Thompson (Sul Ross State), Jeremiah Conaway and Jack Turner (Texas A&M-Kingsville), Trevin Edwards and Jamel Acosta-Lewis (West Texas A&M), and Kyle Babcock (Western Oregon).
