Eastern New Mexico women's basketball set to face Oklahoma Baptist for first time

The Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team will travel to Shawnee, Oklahoma, to face Oklahoma Baptist University on Tuesday, November 18, at the Noble Complex. Both teams hold a 1-1 record heading into the matchup.

Eastern New Mexico is seeking to recover from a close 63-66 loss against Adams State. Senior forward Chloe Dallas led the Greyhounds in that game with a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 17 rebounds in 29 minutes. Over two games this season, Dallas is averaging 15 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50 percent from the field. She has also contributed defensively with four blocks.

Junior forward Julieta Ceja has been effective offensively for ENMU, particularly from three-point range where she went three-for-three against Adams State. Ceja is averaging 11 points and 5.5 rebounds per game and has recorded three steals so far this season.

Shay Moseberry has provided steady scoring for the Greyhounds, averaging 8.5 points per game and making 55.6 percent of her three-point attempts through two contests.

As a team, Eastern New Mexico is averaging 71.5 points per game while allowing opponents an average of 59 points. The Greyhounds are shooting just over 40 percent from the field and more than 42 percent from beyond the arc. Defensively, they are forcing an average of 19 turnovers per game and have tallied an average of 12.5 steals.

Oklahoma Baptist enters Tuesday's contest after splitting their opening weekend games—a loss to Northeastern State followed by a win over Rogers State. Jaedyn Getman leads the Bison with averages of 34 points and 11.5 rebounds per game on fifty percent shooting from the field. Parker Stevenson adds twelve points per contest while making more than half his three-point attempts; Brenna Butler contributes five points and seven-and-a-half rebounds per game.

Tuesday's matchup will be the first meeting between Eastern New Mexico University and Oklahoma Baptist University's women's basketball programs.

After Tuesday's game, ENMU will travel to Kansas for the Newman Classic where they will play nationally ranked Fort Hays State on Friday before facing Newman University on Saturday.
