Eastern New Mexico University has removed Kelley Lee from his position as head football coach, effective immediately. The university will begin a nationwide search to find new leadership for the Greyhound football program.
Director of Athletics Kevin Fite commented on the decision, stating, "I appreciate Coach Lee's service and his years of commitment to Eastern New Mexico University. After evaluating the overall direction of the program, I believe new leadership is necessary to position Greyhound football for sustained competitiveness and long-term success."
Andrew McCraw has been named interim head coach. Fite plans to meet with the team soon to discuss next steps and share the vision for the future of the program during this transition.
The university announced that updates regarding the search process will be provided to both the public and media as they become available.
