Eastern New Mexico volleyball hosts St. Edward’s for Senior Day celebration

The Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team is set to host St. Edward's University on Saturday, November 8, at 2 p.m. in the Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena. The match will also serve as Senior Day, with ENMU honoring three graduating players: Imahni Brown, Brianna Hernandez, and Nevaeh Rodriquez.

Brown has played as a defensive specialist for the Greyhounds this season, recording 393 digs and averaging 4.37 digs per set. She has also contributed 26 service aces and 44 assists.

Rodriquez has tallied 51 digs this season, averaging 1.42 per set. She has added 13 service aces and 17 assists to her record.

ENMU enters the contest with a season record of 4-22. The team’s wins include matches against New Mexico Highlands, Western New Mexico, and Sul Ross State.

On defense, the Greyhounds have accumulated a total of 1,338 digs this year, averaging 14.8 per set. They have also recorded a total of 153 blocks.

St. Edward's arrives with stronger overall statistics for the season, including an average of 12.9 kills per set compared to ENMU’s average of 11.0 kills per set and a total of 1,162 digs.

Historically, St. Edward’s leads the all-time series between these programs with a record of 12-6 against ENMU.

"Fans are encouraged to attend and support the Greyhounds as they honor their seniors and compete in this late-season matchup," according to event organizers.

The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at the Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena in Portales.
