Western New Mexico women's cross country finishes season at NCAA regional championship

The Western New Mexico University Women's Cross Country team finished 19th out of 26 teams at the NCAA South Central Regional Championship held in Pueblo, Colorado. The event took place at the Walking Stick Golf Course, where the team accumulated a total of 557 points.

Aubrey Lozoya led the Mustangs by finishing 61st in the Women's 6K with a time of 22:43.5. "Aubrey Lozoya (Albuquerque, NM/Cottonwood Classic Preparatory) led the team with a time of 22:43.5, securing 61st place, contributing significantly to the team's score." Vanessa Dominguez was next for Western New Mexico, placing 104th with a time of 23:39.0. Jeanette Rivera and McKenna Sahd followed closely behind in 127th and 128th places, recording times of 24:35.7 and 24:37.9 respectively.

Sarah Romero and Isabella Medina rounded out the scoring for Western New Mexico University by finishing in 137th and 152nd positions with times of 24:51.6 and 26:01.1.

"This ends the Cross Country season for the Lady Mustangs as they will look to prepare for the Track & Field season coming up in the spring."
