Eastern New Mexico University's women's cross country team is set to compete in the 2025 NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championship. The event will take place at the Walking Stick Golf Course in Pueblo, Colorado, and is hosted by Colorado State University – Pueblo.

At their previous meet, the 2025 Lone Star Conference cross country championships in Fort Worth, Texas, both Eastern New Mexico's men's and women's teams finished 13th. Jackson Gable was the top performer for the men's team with a time of 28:29.23 in the 8k race. For the women, Chama El Hadiri led with a time of 22:22.18 in the 6k.

Two athletes from Eastern New Mexico received honors from the Lone Star Conference. Chama El Hadiri was named Lone Star Conference freshman of the year after being the highest-finishing freshman at the conference championships. This marks a first for Eastern New Mexico women's cross country. Brian Norton was selected as a member of the all-academic team, an honor given to only five individuals across member institutions. Norton maintains a 4.0 grade point average while pursuing a degree in business administration.

The regional championship race is scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. Mountain Time and will feature leading teams from both the Lone Star Conference (LSC) and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). Twelve LSC programs and fourteen RMAC teams are expected to participate. The course consists of three loops on the back nine of Walking Stick Golf Course, beginning with a narrow straightaway followed by downhill segments and paths alongside holes 16 and 17. Tight spaces at certain points on the course may present challenges due to high participation numbers.

Eastern New Mexico's lineup for this meet includes Chama El Hadiri, Maya Garcia Schafer, Madison Manuelito, Elizabeth Lujan-Towles, and Joella Mathilda.
