Western New Mexico University student-athlete Samuel Ketcham has been named to the 2025 Lone Star Conference (LSC) Cross Country All-Academic Team, according to an announcement from the conference office on Thursday.
Ketcham, a junior majoring in accounting and a member of the Mustangs cross country team, is one of only five men's runners in the conference to receive this academic honor. The award recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate strong performance both in their sport and academically.
This is Ketcham's first time earning a spot on the LSC All-Academic Team. The recognition highlights his commitment to maintaining high standards in both his studies and athletic pursuits.
The top academic honors for this year's LSC selections went to Julie Lafare of West Texas A&M and Arlo Gonzales of St. Edward's, who were named Academic Runners of the Year.
