The New Mexico Ice Wolves have announced plans to honor veterans and military families during their upcoming home games on Friday, November 7, and Saturday, November 8. The team will wear special Salute to Service jerseys sponsored by VetBros as they face the Odessa Jackalopes at Outpost Ice Arenas in Albuquerque. Both games are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
The game-worn jerseys will be available for auction on Dash Auctions starting at noon MT on Friday, with bidding closing on Sunday, November 9 at 5 p.m. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Veterans Integration Centers (VIC) in New Mexico. VetBros, which specializes in parking lot line striping, pressure washing, and asphalt services, is sponsoring the event.
Friday night’s pre-game activities will include a ceremonial puck drop by Fermin Ortega from the Veterans Integration Centers and Gabriel Garcia-Chambers from VetBros. The American Legion Post 13 Honor Guard will present the colors, and Waylon Bailey of the Waylon Bailey Band will perform the National Anthem.
The Veterans Integration Centers is a non-profit organization established in 2005 that provides services such as housing assistance, peer support, food and nutrition programs, and case management for veterans and their families in New Mexico.
