The Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team is set to play Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, on Friday in a Lone Star Conference match. Angelo State is currently receiving votes in the national polls.
The Greyhounds hold a 4-18 overall record and are 1-10 in conference play. Their most recent win was against New Mexico Highlands on October 13, but they have since lost five straight matches, including a loss to Midwestern State earlier this week.
Sophia Valdez has been a key player for Eastern New Mexico, ranking third in the conference with 273 kills and averaging 3.64 kills per set. She has maintained a .203 hitting percentage. Addison Bartlett has contributed with 154 kills and is second on the team with 196 digs.
