The Western New Mexico University Mustangs women's tennis team finished their participation in the Aggie Invite held in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The event saw notable performances from Lucia Carmena and Eva Guta, who both secured singles victories.
Lucia Carmena won her match in straight sets with a score of 6–3, 6–3. Eva Guta earned her win after a three-set contest, finishing 7–6(1), 4–6, 6–1. Both athletes were able to close out their matches strongly.
Josefina Bailetti and Xaviera Melgar also competed but were unable to secure wins. Bailetti lost her match 3–6, 1–6, while Melgar was defeated 2–6, 1–6 after several long rallies.
"This concludes the Aggies Invite for the Mustangs. The Mustangs will be visiting New Mexico State again next January."
