Western New Mexico University's women's cross country team finished 10th at the Lone Star Conference Championships held at AP Ranch in Fort Worth, Texas. The team scored a total of 257 points, placing them 10th out of 15 competing teams.
Aubrey Lozoya led the Mustangs with a personal record time of 22:40.41 in the women's 6K, earning her a 21st place finish. Vanessa Dominguez finished in 50th place with a time of 24:07.54, also setting a new personal best. McKenna Sahd and Jeanette Rivera secured the 60th and 61st spots, clocking times of 24:39.40 and 24:40.97 respectively, both marking personal records in the event.
Sarah Romero and Isabella Medina rounded out the scoring for Western New Mexico University, finishing in 81st and 90th place with times of 25:45.53 and 26:13.63.
The Mustangs are preparing for the NCAA South Central Regionals scheduled for November 8 in Pueblo, Colorado.
