Eastern New Mexico University opens basketball season ticket sales

Eastern New Mexico University has announced that basketball season tickets are now available for purchase. The Greyhound men's team will play 13 home games, while the women's team will have 11 games at the Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena.

Ticket prices vary depending on seating and eligibility. VIP seating is priced at $275 and includes courtside seats, food, beverage, and lounge access. General admission tickets are $100. Faculty, staff, senior citizens aged 65 or older, and active military members can purchase tickets for $50.

Fans interested in buying tickets can do so through the university's ticketing platform.

The men's basketball team is coming off a season with an 18-11 overall record (13-9 in Lone Star Conference play), reaching the quarterfinals of the conference tournament. Eight players from last season will return: Mo Austin, Treyvon Byrd, Alex Alfaro, Jaden Clarke, Austin Abrams, Cooper Jackson, Jose Murillo, and Brandon Kehres.

The men’s season opener is scheduled for November 14 at 7 p.m., when Eastern New Mexico hosts Fort Lewis as part of the 2025 South Central Region Basketball Crossover event. This weekend event will feature four teams playing four games at Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena from November 14 to November 15.

On the women’s side, Eastern New Mexico achieved its fifth 20-win season in program history last year with a record of 21-10 (15-7 LSC). The team also celebrated its first NCAA Division II tournament victory before advancing to the regional semifinals. Ten student-athletes are returning: Jaz Salon, Daci Smith, Martrice Brooks, Julieta Ceja, Tonka Jakšić, Nataya Lockett, Niyah Johnson, Victoria Barrera, Tatiana Platonova, and Kaitlyn Edmondson.

The women’s basketball team opens its season on December 1 by hosting Southwestern Oklahoma State at 6 p.m.

According to a preseason poll released by the Lone Star Conference this week, expectations remain high for both teams. The women's team is ranked fifth in the poll while the men's team is tied for sixth.
