Western New Mexico men's golf finishes fall season at Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational

The Western New Mexico University men's golf team concluded its fall season at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational, held at Amarillo Country Club in Amarillo, Texas. The Mustangs finished 15th overall, posting a final round team score of 293 and a three-round total of 889 (+37).

Oscar Feschuk and Jonty Butcher led the Mustangs, each finishing with a +9 total after three rounds. Feschuk recorded scores of 74, 73, and 75, while Butcher posted rounds of 78, 72, and 72. Both players ended the tournament tied for 66th place.

Jayden Schmitz followed with scores of 74, 78, and 72 to finish at +11 and tied for 74th. Jacob Alcorta completed his rounds with scores of 78, 73, and 76 for a +14 total and tied for 83rd place.

Jack Wadsworth shot rounds of 74, 81, and closed with another round of 74 to finish at +16 in a tie for 85th individually. Tyler Jackson competed as an individual entry for the Mustangs. He posted scores of 77, an impressive second-round score of 69, and then a final round of 76 to finish at +9 overall and tied for 66th.

The Mustangs will now enter their off-season before preparing to start their spring campaign at the Rattler Invitational in San Antonio on February 16, 2026.
