Western New Mexico women's golf finishes eleventh at WT Fall Invitational

The Western New Mexico University women's golf team concluded the WT Fall Invitational in Amarillo, Texas, on September 30. The event took place at Tascosa Country Club (La Paloma), where the Mustangs tied for eleventh place out of fifteen teams. Their combined scores over three rounds were 309, 302, and 312, finishing with a total of +71.

Falyn Lackey led the Mustangs with a final round score of 75, ending in a tie for 28th place out of 82 competitors with an overall score of +11. Alexandria Klemke followed closely, posting a final round of 80 to finish tied for 35th at +14. Nicole Jasso recorded a final round of 77 and finished tied for 52nd at +20.

Corynn Speer completed her rounds with an 80 on the last day and ended tied for 64th at +27. Erin Turner and individual competitor Kelly Peden both finished with totals of +31, tying them for 68th place.

The team will have a week off before participating in the NCAA West Regional Preview scheduled for October 13 in Pueblo, Colorado.
