The Western New Mexico University Men's Golf team completed the second round of the DII Shootout in Tulum, Mexico, maintaining their position in 12th place. The team posted a second-round score of 316, bringing their two-round total to 634 (+58).
Jayden Schmitz led the Mustangs with a second-round score of 77, following his opening round of 74. He is currently tied for 15th place. Tyler Jackson and Jonty Butcher each recorded rounds of 78, with Jackson standing at tied for 51st at +15 overall and Butcher in 56th after two rounds.
Oscar Feschuk and Jacob Alcorta contributed scores of 83 and 84 respectively. Feschuk is tied for 63rd at +20 overall, while Alcorta is in 71st place at +26 after two rounds.
The final round is scheduled to begin on September 30 at 6:45 AM MT as the Mustangs aim to improve their standing.
