Eastern New Mexico volleyball falls to Lubbock Christian in straight sets

Eastern New Mexico University's volleyball team was defeated by Lubbock Christian University in straight sets during the final day of the MCM Chap Invite held at the Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock, Texas. The match ended with scores of 20-25, 15-25, and 21-25.

Sophia Valdez led Eastern New Mexico with ten kills from 29 attempts, as well as seven blocks and five digs. Addison Bartlett contributed seven kills and 11 digs. On defense, Imahni Brown recorded 14 digs while Violeta Flores added 16 assists and eight digs.

Despite this loss, Eastern New Mexico still holds a narrow lead in the all-time series against Lubbock Christian at 34-33. The Greyhounds will return to play next weekend at the LSC Challenge hosted by Western New Mexico University in Silver City, New Mexico. They are scheduled for rematches against Sul Ross State on Friday at 6 p.m. and Western New Mexico on Saturday at 1 p.m.
