The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team concluded its Colorado road trip with a 3-0 defeat against Adams State University at the ASU Soccer Field in Alamosa. Adams State scored their first goal in the 20th minute and added another just before halftime, establishing a 2-0 advantage over the Greyhounds. In the second half, Adams State limited Eastern New Mexico to three shots, two of which were on target, and secured their win with a penalty kick.
Five players from Eastern New Mexico registered shots during the match: Sloane Sinnott and Simone Brothers each had one shot on goal, while Kaylee Baker, Louise Godden, and Mia Jackson also contributed attempts. Goalkeeper Rosie Willmott Joyce started for ENMU and made seven saves in her 59 minutes on the field. Aja Gonzales played for 30 minutes and recorded two saves.
Eastern New Mexico is scheduled to play UT Permian Basin next Wednesday at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
