Western New Mexico women’s cross country finishes ninth at Texas Tech Invitational

Western New Mexico University's women's cross country team finished ninth at the Texas Tech Invitational held in Lubbock, Texas. The team scored 239 points and had an average time of 25:39.80 over the 6k course.

Freshman Sarah Romero led the Mustangs with a 42nd-place finish, clocking in at 24:56.0. Senior Vanessa Dominguez from Pecos High School followed closely behind, securing 45th place with a time of 25:02.8.

Junior McKenna Sahd and Jeanette Rivera placed 47th and 48th, respectively, finishing in 25:24.4 and 25:26.3. Senior Isabella Medina from Americas High School in El Paso rounded out the scoring for Western New Mexico, coming in at 79th place with a time of 27:29.5.

The team's next meet is scheduled for September 27 at the UC Riverside Invite in Riverside, California.
