Former New Mexico State University football player Joshua Bowen has transitioned from collegiate athletics to a career in the entertainment industry. Bowen, who graduated from NMSU in 2015 with a degree in Sociology, played for the Aggies between 2011 and 2015.

Originally from Conyers, Georgia, and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Bowen attended Manzano High School before joining NM State’s football program. During his time as a student-athlete, he also developed an interest in creative pursuits that would later influence his professional direction.

After finishing his athletic career, Bowen moved into film and television as a stunt performer and actor. He has worked on productions including "Westworld" and "The Cleaning Lady," performing stunts and acting roles. Notably, he has served as a stunt double and photo double for Emmy Award-winning actor Aaron Paul.

Bowen is set to appear as a stunt double for Glenn Powell in the upcoming film "Chad Powers." Reflecting on his experiences at NM State, Bowen said: "Being a student-athlete at New Mexico State taught me more than just how to compete on the field," Josh Bowen said. "It shaped the way I approach life. It forged discipline, grit, and a resilience that I carry into every challenge in life. Under the desert sun, through long practices and tough setbacks, I learned that real success comes from consistency, preparation, and an unshakable refusal to quit. Those are the lessons that have been the foundation of my career, what I bring to every set, and what it truly means to be an Aggie."

Bowen will be featured in several upcoming projects as he continues his work in Hollywood.
